Howdy gang!

Well, here we are at the very tail-end of the dragon year. So far the sleepy dragon is much easier to deal with than the rampaging beast he was for most of 2012. The year so far's been pretty decent... Let's see...

Liralen and I finished the first Evantide and Li novel. It's 124K, full-on fantasy-action with a good helping of romance, set in an alternate world where Magic Still Lives. If you're inclined to seek more information, there's stuff up on the website:

In addition to that, we've got the next Evantide & Li book outlined, more or less, and we have a plan of attack for the next New Amsterdam book. Okay, technically, we have a plan of attack for the next *four* New Amsterdam books. We also have a novella, a short story or two, and possibly a side novel all lined up. Oh, and there's also a new donation story on the horizon.

The next phase for the Evantide & Li book is going to be hard. I don't want to talk too much about it, as... well. I'm a superstitious cuss. But suffice to say, the second we have *good* news, so too shall you.

On a more personal note, I'm feeling better. The health seems to be working with me instead of against me. My diet's pretty limited. I can't really eat out anymore, which is sort of a knife to the social life. But I find that the cravings for donuts have finally lessened to the point that I'm not so inclined to jump out of a moving vehicle at the first sight of a pastry.

In fandom/other writing news...

Now that the book's done, I've got about two weeks off. I'm reading, I'm resting, I'm remembering the names and faces of friends I've not seen in six months. *laughs*

I'm also contemplating projects. I know I have Lessons in Living... there's also this Sherlock thing I'm toying with, a Supernatural thing, and I've got a Nagato Moresome that's about 1/2 done.

The other day a group project (Yes; involving YOU people!) occurred to me. It's sort of... Kinky Mad Libs, wherein you give me two names and words, and I give you a ficlet that should be giggle-cackle worthy.

Dunno. We'll see. Truth be told, I might spend the next two weeks sleeping. I certainly could use it, but... Eh. I figure that'll get old by day two. *grins*

Mostly I'm thinking of hosting some Word Wars, maybe working on LiL, and when I get it done and beta read, maybe hosting a Skype Party to read it. Remember those? *laughs* Wherein I used to host people, read porn, and drink heavily with y'all?

Yeah. I miss it, too.

So we'll see what happens. For now, know I'm here. I still plan on finishing all my stories. I miss you. I hope all is well with you and yours. If anything exciting's going on, do comment here! Tell me how you've been.

Much love and vacation musings,
♥Dee

Thoughts, prayers, and hope to any and all of those being affected by Mother Nature's hissy fit. When that woman gets hormonal, we all duck and cover. I think we're going to miss most of it, here, but I've got several friends coping with evacuation maneuvers and the hope for flood insurance.

Working on the lineup for 2013. Editing Evantide & Li, getting ready to dive into New Amsterdam novel #4, finishing up another novella, and generally running around on fire.

Good thing I LIKE fire.

Much love all.

And here... have some Tuesday Distraction on the house.

Good morn-er, AFTERNOON, oh cats, kittens, ladies, gents, and gentlefreaks!

I am back from my tour through the entirety of New England, and can now officially say I've been in 41 of the 50 states, including both Alaska and Hawaii. There's a blog post coming about all of that (I have about 300 pictures, a dozen videos and notes... and am recovering from driving about 2800 miles in nine days, so do forgive the delay. I can't feel my anything.), but first, wanted to give a small heads up on New Amsterdam (and other) progress...

The Next Full-Length Novel
...is in the works. We've actually written it once, scrapped it, and are doing a take three (take two was a false start). I can tell you that the star of the story was referenced in Winter's Knight. We really, really hope to have that one together and in good hands in spring.

Another Novella?
I've got a kid rolling around in my head (and by "kid" I mean "twenty-two-year-old") who would really like a word with the reading audience. Much like Shot in the Dark, it'll be another stand-alone novella that will introduce at least one character who will play a major role later. Or, well... I HOPE this kid will get a role later, as while the novella in my head now has a happy ending, I don't think it's the guy's, "Forever-after" happy ending, if you will.

Shorts and Other Things, Oh My
Torquere has an amazing new Leather line that's all BDSM, all the time. Oh my does THAT sound appealing. We've got something cooking for Lucian and Shea, (Winter's Knight, other). There's also another Daniel and Clark (Hearts Under Fire, "The New Deal," others) in the works with a possible third party cameo from Ellis (Shot in the Dark). AND, if that's not enough playing around, we're thinking of something entertaining with a gang of the men. And I think Raine wants to bring Sorrenson back in sometime sooner rather than later. You read about him in "Swing Shift."

Ellis is getting his own book. Oh, and yeah... we agree that Tim Akkard and Kris Fawkes definitely need books. Ya know... soon.

(And yes... Tim IS straight.)

So... right. Busy we are! And happily so.

A Note on New Amsterdam Connectivity
The New Amsterdam world is designed to be a series of "major arc" books and various novellas and short stories that are good to stand alone but also play well with others. There is an "order" to them, so to speak, but reading the books out of said suggested order shouldn't disrupt the ripples in space/time fabric too much. We hope. No guarantees, though. If Cthulhu shows up on your back porch for ANY reason, we did NOT have anything to do with it!!!

Other Projects
Raine and I are working on a website that's going to consolidate Raine's, mine, and ours. It will make following us and the updates a TON easier, we hope. For us and for you! Updates on progress shall be announced with the trumpet bellow of 500 naked bandmen. You'll hear about it, no worries.

Raine and I are also working on a horror story, the Evantide and Li series, and our own solo works.

Now then: to follow all this chaos, here be your links of note:
